1. Better control environment.
With the increase in air volume in multi-span greenhouses, the fluctuation range of indoor temperature will decrease. The ratio of the envelope surface area to the ground area in small greenhouses is relatively large, and the envelope surface is the main pathway for heat gain or loss in greenhouses, so the air temperature changes rapidly.
Second: Low heating cost.
Due to the relatively small ratio of the envelope surface area to the ground area, heat loss is minimized. Furthermore, the entire multi-span greenhouse space only requires a single heating system.
Thirdly, the utilization rate of land is higher.
The waste of land caused by the spacing between single-span greenhouses has been overcome in multi-span greenhouses.
Fourth: easy to expand.
The extension of the multi-span greenhouse can be easily connected to the existing greenhouse by adding several rows of gutter columns. The existing gable walls or side walls can be completely removed or retained as partitions for greenhouse zoning.
Fifth: Flexible partitioning.
Partition walls can be installed within multi-span greenhouses to facilitate zoning management within the greenhouse.
Sixthly, the degree of automation has been improved.
The multi-span greenhouse space can be equipped with arm-type sprinkler irrigation systems, hanging basket cultivation systems, hot water heating pipelines, and shading systems.
Seventh: It saves more labor.
In multi-span greenhouses, workers do not have to enter and exit each greenhouse back and forth for production operations, as they do in single-span greenhouses. Additionally, multi-span greenhouses can facilitate the use of equipment such as forklifts, carts, and monorail transportation, thereby reducing manual labor.
